The Seasiders in all Tangerine got things underway backed by another tremendous away following and after just six minutes CHARLIE ADAM fired the Seasiders into the lead. The Scottish international had tried his luck from inside the Pool half moments earlier, picked up the ball some 35 yards from goal and unleashed an unstoppable effort beyond former England 'keeper Scott Carson for his 14th goal of the season.
Two minutes later Adam tried his luck again and the ball whistled just wide with Carson only reacting late to watch the ball go on the wrong side of the post.
West Brom forced the games first corner on 11 minutes after Joe Martin blocked a right wing corner behind, the resulting corner saw an unmarked Steven Reid meet Chris Brunt's cross, but fortunately Keith Southern was on hand to hack clear off the line.
Less than two minutes later West Brom pulled themselves back on level terms when ISHMEL MILLER making his first start of 15 months put the hosts back on level terms, Charlie Adam conceded possession in midfield and Miller burst forward at pace leaving Rob Edwards in his wake, the former Manchester City man finished with ease past Gilks who tried in vain to narrow the angle.
Ishmel Miller saw a shot blocked by Alex Baptiste whilst Charlie Adam fired a free kick in a dangerous area after DJ Campbell was fouled by Chris Brunt.
Despite being pegged back Pool continued to threaten and Neal Eardley tried his luck from distance and his sweetly struck effort forced Carson to save at the second attempt whilst at the other end Gilks deniedMiller.
Matt Gilks denied The Baggies on 27 minutes with a fantastic save, Steve Reid powered a header onto the post from a Jonas Olsson, the ball fell to Ishmel Miller's and Gilks threw a leg to diver the ball away, the ball fell to Steven Reid blazed over from 12 yards.
DJ Campbell had a great chance on the half hour, the striker raced clear of the Albion defence but could only direct his finish wide off the post.
At the other end James Morrison found Miller at the far post with a great cross, fortunately for the Seasiders Miller glanced his header well wide.
Pool were denied the lead by a fantastic save from Scott Carson six minutes before the break, DJ Campbell again burst forward at pace and the on loan striker threaded a great ball to Keith Southern who powered an effort towards goal, Carson was equal to the effort and acrobatically tipped behind for a corner.

The interval saw the hosts make a change with Giles Barnes replacing James Morrison.
ROBERT KOREN burst forward at pace after been sent clear by Miller on 51 minutes, the Slovenian international whistled his finish just over with Gilks beaten. Less than a minute later Koren put the hosts in front with a fantastic finish from 23 yards, Pool had been caught short on numbers and Graham Dorrans threaded a great ball out to the West Brom right, Koren cut in from the right and fired into the top left hand corner.
Ishmel Miller made way on the hour to be replaced by Roman Bednar.
Matt Gilks was forced to save at the second attempt after Chris Brunt cut in and unleashed a rasping drive from 18 yards.
Pool made their first change of the afternoon on 69 minutes when Stephen Dobbie made way for Brett Ormerod.
The substitution proved to be inspirational, Jason Euell used his strength and experience to hold up the ball before finding Charlie Adam who crossed left footed to BRETT ORERMOD who nipped in to nod home and send the travelling Tangerine Army into raptures.
Having enjoyed a good game referee Jon Moss ensured he won't be on the Seasiders Christmas card list when he awarded the hosts a penalty after Joe Martin had appeared to foul Giles Barnes, Moss hesitated for what seemed an age before pointing to the sppt as Jason Euell and Joe Martin protested the duo picked up yellows for protesting that the offence was outside the area, when calm had been restored GRAHAM DORRANS stepped and calmly slotted beyond Gilks.
Pool made their second change of the afternoon on 83 minutes when Barry Bannan replaced Joe Martin, Vaughan slotted in at left back with Bannan roaming around in the middle of the part.
Jason Euell made way for Ben Burgess with three minutes remaining but despite their best efforts Pool returned up the M6 empty handed.
