Sky Bet Championship title favourites Queens Park Rangers have drifted from odds-on to evens after missing out on top spot at the weekend.
With Leicester City suffering their second successive defeat at the hands of Brighton, first place was up for grabs and a win would have been enough for the R's, but Harry Redknapp’s men could only manage a goalless draw at home to Blackburn Rovers.
Burnley took full advantage, though, moving from third place into first with a 1-0 win over Barnsley and subsequently saw their odds cut from 12/1 to 8/1.
The Foxes, meanwhile, remain second favourites but are out to 4/1 for the title having been 5/2 at the end of last weekend.
Elsewhere in the promotion race, Derby have been making the biggest impression after earning their fifth straight win, coming in from 7/2 to 3/1.
The Rams were 12/1 for promotion before Steve McLaren took charge and they’ve attracted some backing for the title, which is now 10/1 having been a staggering 100/1 at the start of October.
McClaren’s old club Nottingham Forest also boosted their chances of promotion with three points at Sheffield Wednesday, coming in from 9/2 to 4/1 to go up.
Ipswich have put together a three-game winning streak and are now just two points shy of the promotion spots – they’re now 5/1 for a top-six finish and 9/1 to secure promotion.
Meanwhile, wins for Millwall and Bournemouth saw both sides pull further away from the relegation zone and they’re both well fancied to stay up at 2/7 and 1/20 respectively.
Elsewhere, there’s a new favourite in the top goalscorer market with 15-goal Ross McCormack now 3/1 after scoring his 10th goal in seven games, displacing Blackburn’s Jordan Rhodes at the head of the market.
