Fixture | Doncaster Rovers vs Blackpool
Date | 17 April 2017
Venue | The Keepmoat Stadium
Blackpool know victory on Easter Monday could see them return to the top seven and three points at champions elect Doncaster Rovers would set them up nicely for the run in.
The Seasiders were left frustrated after being held to a draw by Accrington Stanley on Good Friday, but other results lessened the damage.
Gary Bowyer’s men have often raised their game against promotion-chasing sides and they’ll be looking for a similar result at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Doncaster have already secured promotion back to League One and could all but seal the title with victory on Easter Monday.
The Seasiders are without a win in three matches but will look to build on their draw with Accrington on Friday. Away from Bloomfield Road Pool have lost just one of their last five matches.
Doncaster came from behind to draw 1-1 at Colchester United on Friday. Last weekend promotion was secured with a 1-0 victory over Mansfield, their 25th success of the season.
Only Jim McAlister misses out for The Seasiders, so Bowyer has plenty of options should he decide to freshen up his side for their second match in four days.
Doncaster are expected to be without Liam Mandeville due to a hamstring injury, joining Aaron Taylor-Sinclair on the sidelines. James Coppinger will be monitored after missing Friday’s game with an ankle injury.
