Striker Set To Miss Rest of the Season
Barry Ferguson has confirmed that Steven Davies is set to miss the rest of the season with a groin problem.
The 26-year-old striker, who has made 29 appearances for Blackpool since a summer move from Bristol City, is likely to undergo surgery in the coming days.
"Steven Davies is now out for the season. He'll probably need to go in for an operation," Ferguson said.
The injury blow means that there will now be a bigger onus on keeping Ricardo Fuller fit and available for selection.
"I've now only got one physical presence up front, where I like two to choose from. I'll need to keep my eye on Ricardo because he's played a lot of football in his career and he's a big player for me," he added.
