Nathan Delfouneso is 'itching' to make an impression over the Christmas period following a frustrating time with injury.
The striker, who returned to Blackpool on loan from Aston Villa in August, has been restricted to just eight appearances this season but started against QPR on Saturday.
"I've been itching and desperate to try and get that opportunity. It was good to get a good run out and hopefully I can start a run going and get myself going now," he said.
"It's been a frustrating time for me being out with injury but I got back in the team on Saturday and I'll try and do everything I can possibly do for the team."
The Seasiders are without a win in their last three, yet Delfouneso believes a lot of positives can be taken from Saturday's performance against the league leaders.
"We played really well, especially against a team tipped to go up automatically. We had a spell and they had a spell and I think they scored with their first shot on target. I thought the boys did really well and there are a lot of positives to take into next week.
"When you're dominating games then you've got to take your chances. We had a good few chances and we didn't take them. That's down to us and that's something that we'll work on.
"The spirit is still good, everybody is still feeling good and even though results like Saturday haven't gone our way, we'll look to take things forward again," he added.
