Nathan Delfouneso says he is delighted to have been given the chance to join Blackpool and is hoping to hit the ground running when he returns from international duty next week.
The loanee came on for the last 25 minutes at Leicester on Saturday, before having to dash off with England Under-21's for their games against Azerbaijan and Norway, but he says he is itching to pull on the tangerine shirt again, after being given a taste of the action at the King Power Stadium.
"The whole idea is for me to come and get some games and go and progress myself," said the new boy. "I feel like I've stalled a bit and I'm very thankful for the gaffer here and the people who have showed faith in me and given me the chance to go and play."
Delfouneso is aiming to reap the rewards in a team that is renowned for it's attacking play and hopes it won't be too long before he starts to see his name on the score sheet.
"I know I have to work hard to get in the team because I know they have started the season well. Hopefully we will be able to have a successful season and enjoy it, because that's what's it all about."
"I'm very happy and very grateful to be here. Hopefully it turns out to be successful for myself, successful for my career and successful for the team as well and hopefully we can get promotion. I'm here to get goals, to help the team go and win games and that's the aim," he added.
