Nathan Eccleston was pleased to get his first Blackpool goal on Saturday but was ultimately left disappointed as The Seasiders went down 2-1 at Charlton.
The 22-year-old came on after 68 minutes before finding the net with a well hit effort in injury-time, which only proved to be a consolation.
“It was really good to get on the field and get more minutes," said Eccleston.
"I’m glad that I could get on the score sheet after a long time of being here and it felt good to get a goal."
The former Liverpool man has had to contend with a few hamstring injuries since his summer transfer and is hoping any problems are now behind him.
"“It’s probably been one of the most frustrating times of my career so far.
"I've never had an injury as such that has kept me out and stopped me from playing other than the ones that I've received here, so it’s been tough times but it’s one of those that you have to fight through.
"I've always been determined and I've always tried to stay positive while working with the physio and the lads. I’m just glad to be back fit and hopefully I can stay that way."
Eccleston is hoping he can play a part and get some more minutes tomorrow night when Fulham visit Bloomfield Road for the FA Cup Third Round Replay.
“It was a great result down there. I came on in the latter stages of that game.
"Against Premier League opposition, to go to their home patch and get a 1-1 draw and we could have maybe even win it, but they scored a spectacular goals and no keeper in the world could have stopped that.
"Hopefully it will be a good game tomorrow night at Bloomfield Road and we will be hoping for a good result."
