Battling Display From Blackpool
Barry Ferguson says his players are fighting to secure Championship safety for Blackpool, after The Seasiders battled back to secure a point against Brighton.
Stephen Dobbie's 49th minute equaliser kept things tight at the bottom, with two games of the season now remaining for the club to move out of trouble.
"It's always a test to go a goal down but the lads proved they are more than up to that test," Ferguson said. "We got a quick goal back and it shows how much the boys are fighting.
That's the most pleasing thing for me."
Given what was at stake for both sides at The Amex - Brighton are in play-off contention - the football on show was something that left Ferguson extremely satisfied.
"We played some great stuff, kept our shape and I was delighted for the players. I said to the lads we may well have only got one point from two games, but it's been a great point."
All attentions now turn to a game against Wigan on Saturday, with all the focus remaining on what Blackpool do in the run-in.
"I'm not even thinking about what the other teams are doing, I have Wigan to take care of and I started my preparations this morning. I am just looking forward to Saturday now and hopefully we'll get something from it," Ferguson added.
