Goalkeeper Matt Gilks has agreed to join Burnley on a free transfer.
The Scotland international made over 200 appearances for Blackpool across six seasons, and played every minute of the club’s most recent campaign.
Having joined from Norwich City, Gilks was part of the Pool side which won promotion to the Premier League in 2010.
Having played in the top flight with The Seasiders, he returned to Wembley for a second play-off final two years later with the club.
In the penultimate match of last season Gilks’ penalty save at Wigan Athletic helped retain Blackpool’s Championship status, before he was named Player of the Season.
Blackpool FC would like to thank Matt for his service to the club and wish him good luck in the future.
