Bob Harris is hoping to return to first-team action early in the New Year, but before then he will have his hands full with the arrival of his first child!
The 26-year-old, who is currently sidelined following an operation on his shoulder, spoke to the official website to give an update on his fitness and after a hectic week.
“It’s been sore for a while, I think I done it maybe last season. I just knew something wasn’t right and something had to be done,” he said.
“We had to put the operation back a few weeks ago after Jack (Robinson) got sent-off to provide cover, but now it’s been done I’m looking forward to recovering and getting back soon."
The former Queen of the South defender is expected to be out for around three months with the injury, and does not envisage starting any training for at least several weeks.
“I get the cast taken off in a couple of weeks and then I’ll have to wait another few weeks before I start light training again,” he added.
Until then Harris has the new arrival of baby Lucca to keep him busy, with the left-back becoming the third player to receive such news in the last week after Kirk Broadfoot and Angel Martinez’s partners both gave birth to baby girls.
