Blackpool manager Ian Holloway credited Huddersfield for their performance and victory at Bloomfield Road last night.
The Terriers moved into the top two places after beating The Seasiders 3-1, with Simon Grayson and Keith Southern successful on their returns to the club.
“We came up against a really good side who were up for it,” Holloway admitted. “They had someone in their camp who knew what we do, and it looked like Keith had told their boss. Their game plan worked a treat on us, I’m afraid.
“We didn’t play anything like we can do but a large part of that was down to them. I’ve got to give them credit, I thought they played really well and their front two were almost too hot to handle on the night for our back players. That hurts but normally we do that to other people.”
All focus will now quickly shift to Saturday’s trip to Cardiff, although Ollie will be looking for several improvements in that game.
“We’ve got to attack the flight of things and get stronger physically and mentally,” he acknowledged. Huddersfield ruffled our feathers and we didn’t know where to play it.
“I’m fully aware of how difficult this Championship is going to be and to get anything like you want you’ve got to be consistent. Up until now we’ve been quite consistent and we’ve played very well indeed. Last night we dropped a level and you can’t do that against someone like Huddersfield.
“I think we’re better than we played but we’ve got to prove that by bouncing back now,” he added.
