Thomas Ince has been named in Stuart Pearce's 23-man England Under-21 squad for the UEFA European Championship in Israel.
The 21-year-old joins former Blackpool loan players Jonjo Shelvey and Callum McManaman in the setup, with the first game taking place against Italy on 5 June.
Although Ince will miss the opener due to suspension, he's delighted to be representing his country at such a prestigious event.
"That stage has had some World Cup winners so there's been some fantastic players who have played in the tournament," he said. "This is another chapter in my life that I never expected but it's come along now. I'm over the moon and proud to be involved and it shows that what I've done on the pitch this season has been good.
"I'll just keep my head down and make sure that I go to the Euros fit and ready to play how I've been playing for Blackpool this season."
