Winger Named Young Player of the Year

Thomas Ince was last night named the Johnstone's Paint Young Player of the Year at the 2013 Football League Awards.

The 21-year-old beat off competition from Watford's Matej Vydra and Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace to be given the accolade of the best young player across the whole of the Football League.

Ince has 18 goals and 11 assists to his name this season, while racking up six England Under 21 caps and two goals for his country.

The winger was shortlisted for Championship Player of the Year alongside Glenn Murray and Vydra, with the Watford striker winning the award.
