Craig Cathcart got some much needed minutes under his belt on Wednesday night, when he featured for Northern Ireland.
The defender played at right back, and lasted the full 90 minutes in a goalless draw with Cyprus.
Meanwhile Jack Robinson was with England’s under 21s, playing the full game as Wales were beaten 1-0.
It puts the youngsters in control of their group, as they looked to achieve qualification to Euro 2015.
Matt Gilks was also away with Scotland this week, but was an unused substitute in their 1-0 win in Poland.
Finally fellow goalkeeper Chris Kettings played the second half of Scotland under 21s' 2-2 draw with Hungary.
