Striker Becomes Latest Recruit
Striker Ishmael Miller is the latest new recruit to join José Riga’s Blackpool side.
The 27-year-old completed his medical this afternoon and signed a one-year contract, with the option of a further season.
He becomes the second new signing of the day, after John Lundstram joined on loan this morning.
Miller joins on a free transfer having been released by Nottingham Forest, and is in line to make his Pool debut at The City Ground on Saturday.
The striker enjoyed two loan spells at Yeovil Town last season, scoring ten times in 19 league appearances for The Glovers.
After starting out at Manchester City, Miller joined West Brom for £900,000 in 2007, before being snapped up by Forest, where he spent three seasons.
Miller will wear the number 17 shirt for The Seasiders this season.
On signing, the striker said: "It's taken a little bit longer than we all expected and wanted, but it's done now and I can't wait, I'm raring to go.
"I've heard a lot about the club, and we've spoken in the past about me coming here. I spoke to the manager and he assured me he was going to do things the right way, he was an integral part of me signing here."
