A disappointing second half cost Blackpool Ladies, who lost 5-2 to local rivals Blackpool Wren Rovers.
In-form Blackpool started well, and led when Charlotte Gill expertly headed in Lauren Oatley’s cross.
Wren levelled on 26 minutes however, Nikki Berko at full stretch lifted the ball over Steph Findlay to equalise.
The tough conditions didn’t help and the visitors dominated after the break, so there was no surprise when they edged ahead again.
Bethany Fisher was the benefiter, smashing into an empty net after Findlay couldn’t reach a cross.
Wren were now in control and added a third soon after, Robyn Hooker’s effort had been blocked, but Berko was on hand to stroke home the third.
Abbey Pullen then added the fourth, before Blackpool were reduced to ten, after Gaby May received a second yellow card.
Pullen then made it five, punishing Findlay for her poor clearance, but Charlotte Gill did restore some pride, bending in a free-kick to make it 5-2.
