A look at Blackpool's players out on loan

Whilst the likes of Dan Gosling and Stephen Dobbie are stealing the headlines on loan at Blackpool, The Seasiders currently have their fair share of talent borrowed elsewhere.

There are currently seven Blackpool players competing elsewhere in the Football League and Scotland.

Whilst the coaching staff at Bloomfield Road will certainly be monitoring their progress, we’ve also provided this round up for supporters.

Striker Nathan Eccleston, who has experienced various loans in the past, is currently in League One with Carlisle United, but is yet to make a league start for The Cumbrians. Twice he has come off the bench, in a 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury Town and a defeat at Oldham Athletic, as well as starting in a cup tie with Morecambe.

James Caton hasn’t had luck on side during a spell at Accrington Stanley, after picking up a knock in mid-October. Caton started on the left wing in a 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon, but was subbed at half time and hasn’t featured since due to a knock.

After signing for Blackpool, Charles Dunne returned to his previous club Wycombe Wanderers and has been a regular for the League Two side. After being sent off against Burton Albion, the defender returned and played in Saturday’s 2-1 home loss to Bury.

Goalkeeper Chris Kettings is getting experience of being around the team on a match day, currently being used as the back-up on the bench for York City in League Two.

On Saturday Louis Almond, on loan from Pool, netted for Hyde FC in a 4-3 defeat to Hereford United. Liam Tomsett is also being borrowed by Hyde, and has three goals to his name so far, two of which came in a 3-2 defeat to Barnet. Both players have been regulars so far, but The Tigers are currently rooted to the bottom of the Conference Premier.

In Scotland Jake Caprice has played six times for St Mirren, the young defender is building on a spell with Dagenham & Redbridge last season.
