Blackpool FC have announced a new partnership with Ladbrokes gaming company for the 2013-14 season.
“I am delighted that Ladbrokes are again teaming up with Blackpool FC for the upcoming season,” said Jeanette Cross from Ladbrokes. “This year will see us offer the customer more than we have ever done before, with a series of money back offers and enhanced prices. We are hopeful for a very successful season for both.”
Midfielder Chris Basham was at the promotion of the new partnership on Friday, placing a £100 charity bet on behalf of Blackpool FC at the Ladbrokes shop on Lytham Road.
Basham’s bet was for German side Bayern Munich to win the UEFA Champions League at odds of 4/1, with the potential returns to be donated to Brian House Children’s Hospice.
“I chose Bayern Munich to retain the Champions League, they look really solid at the moment under new manager Pep Guardiola,” Basham said. “It will be a tough task, but I think they can do it. They looked very strong in their friendly against Barcelona on Wednesday.”
The Seasiders’ partnership with Ladbrokes will see half-time competitions and challenges on several match days for Blackpool fans throughout the season at Bloomfield Road, as well as their counters remaining on the concourses at the ground.
Ladbrokes will also be the match ball sponsor for Blackpool’s home game against Wigan Athletic on Saturday 19 October.
