Matt Phillips said his goal had been a 'long time coming' after hitting the winning strike against Crystal Palace yesterday.
The winger has endured a season of mixed fortunes following time out with injury but he now hopes to rediscover his best form.
"It's been an up and down season for me, I've struggled to get a bit of form since my injury but I'll keep working hard," he admitted. "Hopefully I can start putting some goals in the net now.
"I'm delighted to have scored but more importantly to have got the three points and get a step closer to where we need to be."
The 22-year-old helped defend from the front as a resilient display was required from The Seasiders, with Barry Ferguson
sent off in the first-half.
"It was a tough 90 minutes with us going down to 10 men towards the end of the first-half. It was never going to be easy. Before the sending off we were on top and then we dug in as a team and got an all important three points."
The result ensured that Blackpool remained unbeaten over the Easter period, and the challenge now is to move further up the table.
"At Blackburn we had a fair share of our chances but we've come away unbeaten from the two games. We'll now keep picking up points to get to where we should be.
"We're four points away from eighth and three from the bottom three so it's very tight, but we've got enough quality to put some wins together and push up the table," he added.
