The Blackpool players reported back to Bloomfield Road this morning for the first day of pre-season training.
The likes of Matt Phillips, Angel Martinez and Chris Basham collected their new training kit from the dressing room and headed off for some fitness testing.
Thomas Ince, who has recently been involved in the UEFA Under-21 Euro Championships, will link-up with the squad after they return from a training camp in Portugal.
"Even if he hadn't have played for the Under-21s, I might have given him a bit longer," manager Paul Ince said. "He's played so many games - even with the qualifying campaign for the Championships - and we worked out that it's 50-odd games.
"Thomas wanted to come to Portugal to be back in football and be amongst the lads but I've told him to get some rest and get himself away."
The rest of the squad fly out to the Algarve for seven days on Sunday.
