The Young Seasiders’ Halloween Party took place at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday with Ian Evatt, Kirk Broadfoot and Craig Sutherland all taking part in the fun and games.
Around 400 parents and children came in fancy dress and played games such as ‘Wrap the Mummy’, ‘Wrap the Player’ and Pass the Parcel, as well as going on a Treasure Hunt around the stadium.
The party was free for all to attend and took place in the Sponsors’ Lounge.
Awards were handed out to those with the best fancy dress costumes and these were chosen by the players, who also signed autographs and posed for photographs with the Young Seasiders.
Broadfoot admitted he was surprised by the turn out and enjoyed the experience of being wrapped up as a mummy in the originally named game 'Wrap the Player'!
“It’s been a good laugh. The kids are good fun, always in good spirits and asked some good questions to be fair to them.
“They’ve all made a great effort with the costumes. I didn’t expect it to be so big to be fair, with hundreds of kids but it’s a good turnout.
“It’s part and parcel of the job and I’m just happy we can come along and make the kids’ days,” said Broadfoot.
