Wes Thomas is hoping he can make an instant impact at Blackpool after his loan-move from Bournemouth yesterday.
The striker arrived in Blackpool last night and will meet and train with the squad today ahead of two home games in four days for The Seasiders.
The 25-year-old admits he was a bit shocked to receive the phone call late yesterday.
"It was a bit of a surprise to be honest. I was expecting to go back out on-loan but I didn't expect it to be to Blackpool, so this is a good opportunity for me.
"I know the gaffer and I know Ash Westwood so it's good that they know what I'm about.
"It's an opportunity for me to show what I can do at this level."
The forward made his way through non-league before eventually ending up with Michael Appleton at Portsmouth earlier on in the season also on-loan. He is now hoping to make an impression in the npower Championship.
"I'm quick and I'm good at holding up the ball. I work hard and I just want to show people what I can do."
Thomas will be available to Appleton for tomorrow's game against Gianfranco Zola's Watford and is hoping he can get some time on the pitch in his first game at the club.
"I don't know how long I will get but hopefully I can get a few minutes and we will go from there."
