Debutant Apostolos Vellios has promised Blackpool fans there is more to come from him, after getting through 67 minutes at Loftus Road on Saturday.
The Greek striker, who joined on loan from Everton on Thursday, went straight in from the start in the 1-1 draw at QPR.
Playing alongside David Goodwillie, he now feels like he has something to build on for the final seven games of the season.
“I felt good but I have more to give, I know myself. I’ve promised myself, fans and team mates that I’ll give more,” said Vellios.
“I wasn’t 100 percent, I have to give more and I just wait for the next game. It was a difficult situation for me (at Everton), but I’m a hard working player and I’m not listening to the bad things.”
Goodwillie’s early goal helped earn at point at Loftus Road, and with QPR high-flying it was a solid start for Vellios at Pool.
“I’m really proud of my team mates, we were very close to taking three points from this quality team. It was a long time since I played a game and I saw one Greek flag, so that made me really happy, I’d like to thank them all.
“I really enjoyed it, QPR is a fantastic team with quality players, and they keep the ball. We also have great players, I’m sure in the next games we’ll be better, and we’ll take the points that we need.
“We have a fantastic team with passion, I know we have more to give. I trained only once but have seen the players have a big heart,” said Vellios.
