Paul Ince has confirmed that Reece Wabara has cut short his loan spell with the club and returned to Manchester City.
The 21-year-old, who had made just one substitute appearance for The Seasiders, was signed prior to the new manager taking over at Bloomfield Road.
"When you've got Baps who plays right-back and you've got Eards who can play there, we don't really need another full-back," Ince explained.
"I spoke to Reece, he's a great kid and a great pro who trains well. I said to him 'listen, with two cleans sheets there's no reason for me to play you, so if you want to go back then that's not a problem with me, as long as City are happy to take you back'.
"I don't think he can go out on loan again but he wants to play games, and I can understand that as a young kid. He goes with my blessing."
