Mac Barlow scored twice and created another as Blackpool FC Ladies thumped Wigan Athletic 5-0 for their third win on the spin.
The Seasiders led 1-0 at the break through Barlow, but took control through strikes from Jenny McGill, Dannii Cross, Barlow and Layla Garratt after the interval.
Both sides ended the match with ten men, but that made little difference, as Blackpool made it 12 goals in three games.
Pool made the best possible start, and led after five minutes as Barlow headed home McGill’s cross.
It could have been two midway through the first half, but Lauren Oatley’s header was cleared off the goal line.
Later in the half Wigan became more of a threat, but Alix Reid fired over for the visitors.
Four minutes after the break Blackpool gave themselves breathing space as McGill broke forward and curled a fine effort into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Pool were now in control, with McGill and Oatley both coming close to adding a third.
On 65 minutes their pressure was rewarded; as Barlow’s deflected centre found Cross for a simple tap-in.
Wigan, now with ten players due to injury, then conceded again when Barlow poked home rampant Blackpool’s fourth.
The result was never in doubt now, and Garratt added further gloss to the score line late on, as she fired into the roof of the net.
