As usual the close season has been frenzy of speculation with various players being linked with various clubs, one name that captured the imagination of Pool supporters in the last couple of weeks is Cameroon international striker Joseph Desire Job. We asked the Gaffer whether there was any truth in the rumour that Pool were close to signing the former Middlesbrough front man, "We got offered Joseph a few weeks ago" confirmed the Pool boss, "as you know, we have been offered lots of players from lots of agents and lots of different countries, some things have made it into the press and the websites for whatever reason, but I can confirm we have had a look at the possibility of signing Joseph, but we have not made a formal move on it just yet, but having said that, we haven't discarded him either! We will wait and see, but it is an option and we know the lad is keen to come back to the UK."
