Blackpool FC is delighted to announce the signing of David Vaughan from Real Sociedad for £200,000.

The 25-year-old has agreed a two-year-deal with the option for further year with the Seasiders and will now look to get international clearance in time to make his debut against Bristol City on Saturday.

Vaughan joined Sociedad last summer as the Spanish side looked to rebuild and regain their place in the Primera Liga. The Wales international was signed by former Fulham manager Chris Coleman and made seven appearances in Spain last season.

On returning to England and making the move to Blackpool, Vaughan said: "I'm pleased to come back. It's been a bit of a tough twelve months in Spain but I'm glad to be back and playing for Blackpool."

The left-sided midfielder is no stranger to the Championship, having played in the division previously with Crewe.

Vaughan becomes Simon Grayson's tenth signing of the summer at Bloomfield Road.
