Blackpool FC is pleased to announce the signing of defender Rob Edwards for an undisclosed fee from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 25-year-old Welsh international has agreed a two-year deal with the Seasiders, with the option for a further year.

On joining the club, Edwards said: "I'm delighted. I'm really looking forward to it, it's a new challenge and, hopefully, I'll come and play some football."

The former Aston Villa centre-back becomes Simon Grayson's third signing this week, following hot on the heels of the arrivals of David Vaughan and Mo Camara from Real Sociedad and Derby County respectively.
