SIMON GRAYSON has revealed that the club are looking to extend Mo Camara's loan stay with the Seasiders after the player expressed an interest in staying.

The Guinean international has been a regular fixture at left-back in the continued absence of Stephen Crainey from the Blackpool defence and has proved to be a useful acquisition by the manager.

His current one-month loan spell with the club ended following the win over Southampton on Saturday but Grayson is looking to have the player back in a tangerine shirt in time for the club's next Championship fixture against Barnsley on September 13.

After speaking with Derby counterpart Paul Jewell and the player himself, Larry is hopeful that a deal can be done.

"I think we're close to getting something done," he admitted. "Mo's indicated that he wants to stay at least for another month. Paul Jewell has accepted that we are willing to do something and they've given us permission to sign him."

Despite the closure of the transfer window the club have five days following the expiry of the loan deal to extend Mo's stay or can alternatively look to finalise the deal when the emergency loan window opens on September 9.
