Stack Makes Blackpool Loan Move

Posted on: Thu 27 Nov 2008

BLACKPOOL MANAGER Simon Grayson has beaten the loan deadline once again this afternoon to sign goalkeeper Graham Stack on-loan from Plymouth Argyle.

The 27-year-old, who came through the ranks at Arsenal, will link-up with the Seasiders until January 1 but will be ineligible to face the Pilgrims in the Championship fixture on Saturday.

The former Reading 'keeper joined Plymouth in the summer and will now look to challenge current Blackpool goalkeeper Paul Rachubka for a place between the sticks over the coming weeks following Matt Gilks' loan move to Shrewsbury Town last Friday.

The Pilgrims do have a 24-hour recall on the deal, should they need to recall him due to extenuating circumstances.
