IAN EVATT is looking for the Seasiders to get back to what they are good at this weekend when they face Plymouth Argyle.

A fine start to the season with some memorable performances has come off the rails somewhat in the last few fixtures with the team currently on a four game losing run and Evo is looking for that to come to a halt at Home Park.

The defender feels the team need to get back to basics by working hard and the wins will come. A disappointing defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night left the side pretty despondent at the final whistle but the atmosphere in the dressing room remains the same, with the team determined to bounce back.

"The banter has got to be the same, really - I think that's what we're all about," Evatt told Tangerine World. "We get on really well and we've got to pull together at times like this, especially difficult times. We've got to demand more from each other and hopefully, come Saturday, the results will start coming again."

Home Park may not be the ideal place to go in search of three points but the 27-year-old is adamant that the Seasiders can pick up all three points from the game.

"We can go anywhere and get results; we've just got to get back to not conceding goals and get back to scoring them again.

"We've worked on things in training - we had a good chat after the game on Tuesday night, which we said to ourselves what we thought and what we need to do to progress. We've got that out the way and hopefully now we'll do that."

The Plymouth game is the first of seven games in the next month for Blackpool, and the Christmas period is always one that can define a season.

"If we go into Christmas and we win a few games and start an unbeaten run off again, then all this four games we've lost will be forgotten," he said. "Obviously the Preston one won't, we're determined to get that one back when we play them again. But it's like a rollercoaster this division, you can have great times - seven games unbeaten we were, then we've lost four - hopefully now we'll start an unbeaten run again and progress up the table."
