FOLLOWING the appointment as Ian Holloway as manager, club officials today announced an extension to the club's first discount period for all supporters wishing to renew or purchase a season ticket ahead of the new season.
The excitement created by Ollie's arrival has caused the Bloomfield Road ticket office telephones to start buzzing again.
Now, as a further incentive to get behind the Seasiders 2009/10 campaign, the club has extended the first discount period from Saturday May 30 until Saturday June 6.
Almost 2,000 supporters have taken advantage of the discounts on offer and following Holloway's arrival as the new Pool boss on Thursday the ticket office staff have been extremely busy with season ticket enquiries.
Pool's Commercial Director Jayne Anderson-Dixon added: "Ian Holloway's appointment has created a huge buzz around the club and the town.
"We have therefore decided to extend the first discount period to ensure that more supporters can be part of this new exciting era at the club.
"Our home support is absolutely critical to success on the pitch and I hope that new and old supporters will want to be part of the exciting times ahead.
"Our supporters have been the 12th man on many occasions in recent seasons and we need to keep creating that week-in and week-out."
