Blackpool skipper Rob Edwards admits that he is relishing the prospect of working with new manager Ian Holloway.
The 26-year-old defender is currently stepping up his recovery from ankle surgery away from the club but he is already looking forward to returning for pre-season training.
"I'm really looking forward to working with him," he said of the new manager. "I've not had anything to do with him in terms of working with him before but when I see him talking on the telly or doing commentary he always sounds quite bubbly and funny. He seems like someone who will be fun to work with."
Having witnessed what the manager had previously done in the Championship with Plymouth Edwards has no doubts that 'Ollie' will do the same at Blackpool.
"Plymouth was one of those places that teams didn't really like going to because they're maybe not as glamorous, which is probably similar to us at the moment," he admitted. "He'll probably bring a lot of the things that he did there to us and I'm sure that's only going to help us."
The new manager is likely to bring a number of new players in over the summer and Edwards believes every player will be keen to impress.
"You want to get in straight away and try and impress," he said. "From that first day you are staking your claim to be on the teamsheet for the first game of the season. Everyone will be looking to impress straight away.
"There are a good bunch of lads here already and I'm sure he's going to instil his own sort of views on how he wants to play. I'm sure he'll bring one or two faces in as well that will help us," he added.
