Following the news Danny Coid had put pen to paper on a new two year deal with an option for a third year, www.blackpoolfc.co.uk caught up with Pool boss Ian Holloway and asked him for his reaction:
"I am delighted he has signed again for us, I have played and managed against him and I know he is a good player," said Holloway
"How can I describe him? He is loyal, a good player, he works hard and he reminds me of Paul Connolly who I had at Plymouth.
" I had a couple of chats with him on the phone in the last couple of weeks and I can tell you now I can't wait to get to work with him, I have told him where he is going to be playing and that is on the right, he won't be playing at left back and he is happy about that.
"The one thing that has been clear whenever I have spoken to him is that he cares for Blackpool and that he wants to be at Blackpool and in that is good enough for me, I am confident that I can develop him as a player and that he will enjoy what we will do, he is a tremendous kid and he will do well for us.
