The clash with the Toffees will be Pool's last test before the season opener at QPR on Saturday 8th August and Ian Holloway is delighted to be welcoming top flight opposition to the Fylde Coast,

"It's a big bonus getting Everton lined up and I am grateful to David Moyes for agreeing to come, for me this completes what I think is already a good pre-season." said Holloway

"Pre-season games aren't about how we get on. It's about getting the lads in the right mindset for the challenge we've got ahead. You can wine very game pre-season, think you've had a good one and then start terribly. You can lose every game and start winning. So it's about how we train and get ourselves ready and work towards that first game at QPR."
