FOLLOWING discussions with the Seasiders official supporters association, the club today unveiled admission prices cuts for the new season.
The club have also ended the practice of charging more for tickets bought on match day than those purchased in advance.
Prices for the new season have been reduced by 13% which means a seat for a member in the North Stand will cost just £20, instead of the £23 charged last term.
Supporters who join the club's official supporters association (for just £5) are automatically given membership of the club which entitles them to the discounted ticket price as well as many other benefits, for more information on joining BSA click here. Supporters can also join BSA via the Seasiders club shop and ticket office when purchasing match tickets.
Any season ticket holder who wants to purchase any additional tickets automatically pay the members price and once again there will no restriction on the amount of tickets supporters wish to buy, any supporters who prefer not to join BSA can still take advantage of the members discounted price by joining the club membership scheme for £20.
Chairman Karl Oyston said he was delighted to have been able to cut prices for the new season,
"Our main priority this summer was to give something back to our loyal season ticket holders and we did that by reducing the price of renewals by 15%, they are the ones that make a major investment in the club in the summer and at the end of the first discount period we were about 150 down on last season, which given the current economic climate is pleasing."
"We promised to review the matchday ticket pricing as well and following discussions with BSA, we are delighted to announce the cuts for the new season."
BSA Chairman Glenn Bowley added, "We are delighted that the club has been able to reduce the match day prices by over 13%, especially in these troubled financial times. The Seasiders now have one of the cheapest match day tickets prices with only Scunthorpe charging less and with the new facilities in the South Stand available soon, £20 as a match day price represents very good value for money. Hopefully this, along with the team progressing under Ian Holloway will attract fans old and new back to Bloomfield Road and we can look forward to an exciting season."
