BRETT ORMEROD today penned a new one year deal with an option for a second year.

The 32-year-old returned to Bloomfield Road from Preston North End in January and made seven starts and a further eight as sub as the Seasiders climbed away from the relegation zone on his second spell with the club.

A delighted Ian Holloway told www.blackpoolfc.co.uk, "I am delighted that Brett has signed again, he was a key player in the side that did well for the club towards the end of last season, he wants to be here and is everything Blackpool stands for , he is one of the most hardworking players I have come across and his work rate was evident in the DVD's I have watched and scout reports I have seen, everyone I have spoken to has nothing but praise for him and I can't get wait to work with him and the rest of the squad."
