The Seasiders backroom staff were busy putting the final touches to the preparations for the start of pre-season on Wednesday.
The Pool squad including new recruit Billy Clarke will report back to Bloomfield Road on Wednesday morning for the first day of pre-season training and with the exception of Stephen McPhee, who underwent a knee ligament operation at the end of last season, Ian Holloway is expecting a fully-fit squad to return.
"I can't wait to get started," said Holloway, "I have been out of work for a year and I can't wait to get back on to the grass and get to work with this group of players.
"I have watched all the DVD's and read all the scout reports and spoke to my staff at length on what we need and what we need to do and as I keep saying, I can't wait to get out there with them, I am sure the players will be looking forward to getting back to work and I can't wait to work with them or the staff who have been fantastic since I arrived."
"I am sure the players have kept themselves fit over the summer, gone are the days where they did nothing during the close season, I am sure there will be plenty of banter on Wednesday morning and I can't wait."
