WIRRAL based Premiership referee Mike Dean will take charge of Saturday's derby game with Preston. 

Dean, who was in charge of Sunday's London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea is no stranger to the Lancashire derby, he oversaw the game at Bloomfield Road last season where the visitors ran out 3-1 winners.

In his 27 games so far this he has shown 96 yellow cards and 3 red cards.

* West Yorkshire based referee Mark Haywood will take charge of Tuesday weeks game with Middlesbrough.
