Hameur Bouazza is hoping that a groin problem doesn't curtail what looks set to be the most exciting time of his career.
The winger has had an eventful few months for both Blackpool and his nation Algeria in the African Nations Cup - but with a push for the play-offs and a forthcoming World Cup on the agenda things are set to get even more exciting.
The 24-year-old has been plagued by a groin problem ever since returning from international duty though and is yet to start a game for Blackpool in 2010. The French-born player is having to manage the situation at the moment but hopes that he will be fit enough to continue playing.
"I played a bit with my injury at the African Nations Cup and I thought it was just stiffness in my groins," Bouazza revealed. "It's obviously a serious injury so I'm trying to get back as fit as possible and hopefully I'll do well for the team when I'm back. Hopefully my groins will be a little bit better but I can't wait to play.
"It's not possible to play with a small injury so I need to be fit to play and help the team.
"I just want to finish the season really well with Blackpool to get to where we want and then go to the World Cup and do well over there as well."
A late decision will be made as to his availability for Saturday's game against Ipswich due to the ongoing groin problem.
