Nards Heads Off On Loan

Posted on: Thu 04 Mar 2010

POOL striker DANIEL NARDIELLO today penned a loan move to League One outfit Oldham Athletic.

The front man who has signed on loan until the end of the season has previously spent time out on loan at Bury however, having hit netted four in six for the Shakers he returned to Bloomfield Road but has found his chances limited due to the wealth of attacking options at Ian Holloway's disposal and niggling groin injury.

The former QPR, Barnsley and Manchester United forward jumped at the chance to join The Latics in search of first team football and the 27-year-old is expected to make his debut on Saturday when Oldham travel to Exeter City.

On the decision to allow Nardiello join the League One strugglers Pool boss Ian Holloway said, "Dan needs to be playing regular first team football at a decent level and letting him go to Oldham will give him that, we have a recall after 28 days and we will monitor his progress over the coming weeks."
