WITH the ink still drying on his professional contract, young striker Louis Almond has headed off South to join Cheltenham on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old goes straight into the Robins squad for today's game with Port Vale.

On the decision to allow Almond join Cheltenham, Ian Holloway said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Louis to go out and get some first team experience, he has done fantastically well in the youth team and reserves and this is the next stage of his development.

"Having Ash Eastham there is a bonus, they are good mates and I know Ash will show him the ropes down there."
