YOUTH TEAM PUT FOUR PAST FOREST
The Seasiders' youth team were victorious in their latest pre-season friendly at lunchtime as they came back from two goals down to beat Nottingham Forest 4-2.
The game, which was played at Squires Gate, saw Gary Parkinson's side concede two goals in the opening five minutes but Tom Barkhuizen pulled one back from the penalty spot prior to half-time.
Barkhuizen equalised shortly after the interval to bring Pool back level before Liam Thomsett hit a stunning effort from the edge of the area to give the Seasiders the lead. Adam Dodd rounded matters off when he placed a shot into the bottom corner from 18-yards.
The result capped off an eventful 24 hours for the goalscorers after they all travelled to Crewe with the first-team on Tuesday evening, with Barkhuizen coming on as a second-half substitute.
