Veteran defender Danny Coid reckons the Seasiders were worth much more than the scoreline showed after yesterday's friendly defeat to Hibernian.
The SPL side went away 2-1 winners from Bloomfield Road after an entertaining encounter. Pool opened through Jason Euell before Derek Riordan and Liam Miller netted for the Scotsmen.
But Coid believes it wasn't a fair reflection.
"I think we deserved to win and I think everyone else did," he said.
"It was a bit of a soft free-kick, I don't think it was a foul but he's given it and he took his free-kick really well so you've got to give it to the lad.
"I think on the day though we deserved to win. It was only a pre-season friendly though so we got what we needed out of it."
Coid has missed a couple of games through minor injuries this pre-season but has been training well this week with the rest of the squad and enjoyed taking part in the game.
He added: "It was a good run out, I had a good 25 minutes or so and I'm feeling good. I had a little bit of a sore the other week in Devon so with being out for so long last season, it's best just to give it a couple of days, let it settle down which I did and I was fine and I was training again. I've been doing the right things this pre-season."
