New signing Craig Cathcart is hoping that he'll fit in well with Blackpool's style of football this season - given that it's similar to how Manchester United like to play.
The Northern Ireland U-21 international agreed a move to Bloomfield Road from Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee yesterday and has set his sights on settling in as soon as possible.
"Coming through at United, you're brought up to play that way. I'm hoping that coming here will be an easy transition for me and hopefully I'll fit in as quick as possible," he said. "I'm looking forward to having a good season."
Manager Ian Holloway has already had a big impression on the defender and he is now looking to keep Blackpool in the Barclays Premier League.
"The manager spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about me and he wanted me to come here. He told me his plans for me and his plans for the club and where he wanted to be. He just wants me to come here, enjoy playing and express myself, which is what I want to do.
"It's a massive season for me and everyone at the club, obviously. Everyone wants to be in the Premier League and we have to set our sights on staying here for as long as possible," he added.
