Blackpool manager Ian Holloway praised the performance of Marlon Harewood following the Seasiders' 4-0 victory over Wigan.
The striker, making his competitive debut for the club, scored two goals at the DW Stadium as the Tangerines got off to a great start in the Barclays Premier League.
"Marlon has signed a two-year deal and is going to be pivotal for us," Ollie said. "I need a big, powerful unit up front and when we go to the huge places with tradition, Marlon has been there, seen it and done it. That is vital for my young lads.
"The new boys have popped up and helped us. I had to play them today because we've lost a few who we had last year, who we borrowed.
"But I'm also really proud of my boys from last year who I want to give a chance to and they really rise to every challenge."
The manager also took time out to praise referee Mark Halsey, who returned to officiating in the division for the first time since treatment for Lymphoma.
"For me as well with Mark Halsey refereeing, what's he's been through, I'm so proud of him. I'm not thanking him for the result, I'm just as a human being so delighted for him and I'd like to wish his wife all the best with the battle she's got at the moment," he said.
Attentions now turn to the next game away at Arsenal, a fixture that the manager joked may give him sleepless nights.
"I'm very, very pleased but now I've got a big worry - and I probably won't sleep this week - going down to Arsenal. That's the truth.
"Whatever happens, we'll try and not embarrass ourselves and keep going and keep our own belief."
The DVD of the game is also available to purchase at a cost of just £4.99 here, or can alternatively be purchased from the club shop from Tuesday.
