HOLLOWAY HAILS KEINAN

Posted on: Wed 18 Aug 2010

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has hailed new signing Dekel Keinan and expressed his relief at finally securing his services.

Keinan, who has Champions League experience from his time with Maccabi Haifa, joins the club on a one-year deal, with an option of a further year. The Israeli defender has now completed the formalities of his move after a work permit application was approved.

And Holloway believes he will be an invaluable asset over the course of the season.

"Its dragged on to be perfectly honest, I thought it was all done a few weeks ago but at last we've got our man and I'm delighted to have him.  He's going to be a fantastic addition, one of the best professionals I've ever seen and his experience will be vital by the end of the season, I'm delighted to have that."

Keinan becomes the ninth defender on the club's books and will provide much needed competition for places ahead of the weekend trip to Arsenal.
