Luke Varney praised the way he had been welcomed to the club after capping off a man-of-the-match performance on his debut.
The striker, signed on a season-long loan from Derby County on Friday, got a full 90 minutes under his belt as the Seasiders drew 2-2 with Fulham.
The 27-year-old, who scored what looked to be a second-half winner before Dickson Etuhu equalised, couldn't hide his delight about the move when speaking to the media after the game.
"I've not been here long but the bunch of lads and the gaffer have made me feel like I've been here a long time already," he said. "It's been a great couple of days, I'm just a bit disappointed not to round it off with three points.
"We're going to pay for mistakes at this level so we're just going to have to re-group. I'm sure that won't be a problem with the lads we've got in that dressing room.
"It's lovely to get a goal, I'd have rather took the three points to be honest, but it's a great way to cap a decent couple of days for me.
"I'll now look to train hard this week and hopefully get myself really going again and put performances in like that every week," he added.
