THE Seasiders Israeli defender Dekel Keinan was an unused substiute on Thursday night when Israel opened their Euro 2012 campaign against Malta.

Israel recorded a 3-1 win over the Maltese minnows thanks to a hat trick from Chelsea star Yossi Benayoun.

The summer signing will be hoping for a taste of the action on Tuesday night when Israel take on Georgia in Tblisi.

Charlie Adam and Matthew Gilks will have to be content with a place on the bench when Scotland take on Lithuania in their opening group match, whilst Neal Eardley and David Vaughan will be hoping to play a part in Wales opening fixture with Montenegro.

Defender Craig Cathcart, who recently moved to Bloomfield Roadl from Manchester United, will hope to earn his first full cap when Northern Ireland take on Slovenia in Maribor.

Deadline day signing David Carney will hope to add to his tally of caps when the Socceroos take on Swtizerland in St Gall and Richard Kingson will expect to collect his 84th interantional cap on Sunday when Ghana take on Swaziland.
