Gary Taylor-Fletcher's injury isn't as bad as first feared, with a scan revealing bone bruising.

The forward was stretchered off at Everton on Saturday after a clash with Tim Howard but immediate fears of suspected ligament damage have been allayed.

"It's bone bruising and sometimes that can be absolutely lethal because it takes ages to clear," manager Ian Holloway confirmed. "Hopefully it doesn't because he's sorely missed."
